தேசிய மருத்துவர்கள் தினம் - ஜூலை 1

 In India the National Doctors' Day is celebrated on 1stJuly all across India to honor the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Dr Roy was honored with the country's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna on 4thFebruary 1961. The celebration of the Doctors' Day is an attempt to emphasize on the value of doctors in our lives and to offer them our respects by commemorating one of their greatest representatives. India has shown remarkable improvements in the medical field and July 1 pays a perfect tribute to all the doctors who have made relentless efforts towards achieving this goal irrespective of the odds.

தேசிய மருத்துவர்கள் தினம்: ஜூலை 1 - பி.சி.ராய் பிறந்த தினம்

இந்தியாவில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜூலை 1-ம் தேதி டாக்டர்கள் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. மாபெரும் மருத்துவ மேதையும், மேற்கு வங்க மாநிலத்தின் 2- வது முதல்வர் என்ற பெருமைக்குரியவருமான மறைந்த டாக்டர் பிதான் சந்திர ராய் (பி.சி. ராய்) பிறந்த தினத்தைத்தான் டாக்டர்கள் தினமாக இந்தியாவில் கொண்டாடுகிறார்கள்.

1882-ம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 1-ம் தேதி பிறந்தார் ராய். 1962-ம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 1-ம் தேதி தனது 80-வது வயதில் அவர் மறைந்தார். கொல்கத்தா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கொல்கத்தா மருத்துவக் கல்லூரியில் படித்த ராய் ஒரே நேரத்தில் மருந்தியல் மற்றும் அறுவை மருத்துவத்திற்கான எம்.ஆர்.சி.பி மற்றும் எஃப்.ஆர்.சி.எஸ் படிப்புகளை இரண்டாண்டுகள் மூன்று மாதங்களிலேயே படித்து முடித்தது ஓர் சாதனையாகும். அவரது அளப்பரிய சேவை கருதி இந்திய அரசு அவருக்கு 1961-ம் ஆண்டு அவருக்கு பாரதரத்னா விருது வழங்கி கவுரவித்தது.
